Weather Data exchange September 2015

September Weather Data from Bill Arthur, South Perth County
For record comparison HU are compiled from May 10 to Sept 20

September was warmer and drier than normal which allowed harvest of silage,
haylage and beans in perfect conditions.
Edible beans are virtually all harvested now with a lot of soys off too.
Yields for soys have been good if not excellent, quality is also excellent
but lots of 11-12% beans harvested,

Lots of wheat planted on bean ground this year also in excellent to maybe dry conditions
and many fields are green like an overgrow lawn now.

Silage corn became a rush to get it off before it dried too much.
A small area of corn has been combined, some to get the premium price available earlier
at 27-30% but last days of month has reports of corn coming off in the low 20 % range.

A nice finish to a year and harvest will be wrapped up early=
