Year 4 of the Growing Forward 2 program continues offering farmers great free workshops and cost-share grants!
If you have not attended previously, or your workshop is over five years old, or you could benefit from one of the updated workshops now offered. The workshop information saves you time in learning the latest best management practices and are a critical requirement for applying for most cost share grants.

A limited number of application intakes windows remain in GF2, so please plan accordingly.

There are 46 categories of Best Management Practices (BMP's) outlined in the GF2 Producer Program Guide that are eligible for grant funding. The broad range of opportunities from; cover crop assistance to livestock handling systems, water well or fuel storage upgrades, to business and succession planning and much more .

SARFIP is back:
The Species at Risk Farm Incentive Program (SARFIP) is back for 2016. Up to $20,000 is available per farm business on a first come-first serve basis. SARFIP is great for producers who are looking to make improvements on their farms while also supporting farm habitat for species at risk.
You do not have to have a species at risk on your farm to qualify. Funds are available for such projects as; fencing for rotational grazing, buckthorn removal, stream crossings, wind break plantings, etc. Check it out by clicking on the link-> http://www.ontariosoilcrop.org/oscia-programs/sarfip/
